Time does fly by! in so many ways! It has been a year since our last post. We are now back in our cabin in northern Indiana. Our stay in Bloomington was 6 months; it was such a great time too. We were a couple miles away from the grandkids and son and daughter in law. We did so much together; even just running over to eat supper or watch a movie. We all do miss that and seeing the grandgals so often. But our cabin renters left and so we moved back to clean up that situation and then stay. My Hub got a ER job in a country hospital and I was able to restart Quilting. We have seen the Bloomington folks pretty regularly since we left. We had a great time before we left when all the kids; SC and Ohio. The grandkids came to Bloomington to see IU and enjoy the nature and sites of that area. It, of course, went too fast but it was so much fun to be together. We just spent Christmas with our daughter and one of her gals and our son, his wife and their two little Bloomington gals. We spent a Saturday in Chicago and got to go to the American Girl Store. It was nothing like I had pictured. I had it quaint and personal and it was a very, seriously marketed store for Moms' of the gals and the gals as they carried their well loved dolls throughout the store. My Grandgal had her 2 dolls ears pierced and had a hard decision as to what she would buy with her Christmas fund. Kevs' little gals also picked out their treasures. The store was full of hundreds of folks and daddys' and grandpas' carrying dolls (a first to see!) ....Chicago? well, it was packed on the streets also, so we all took special care of our sweet 3 little gals.....yes, we drank Starbucks and ate Chicago Pizza too....it was a great, windy, very cold day and the little girls walked over 60 city blocks by the time we got back to the parking garage. We had planned to take the Trains from SB to Downtown Chicago but a truck had lost part of a load of coils on the tracks near Gary In so we did not when or if the train would run. So, Kev offered to take us gals to the Big City and away we went! We got there before the stores were even open. That was great!! So, I am back. Gary and I are pursuing putting together his business of digital wood carving and me and my quilting. God is to be praised and we give HIM all the glory for giving us grace and going before us in our journey. God Bless!! and Quilted Blessings!! Kari
